Job Requirement

· Bachelor's degree in fire science, fire engineering, public administration, Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Occupational Health, and safety disciplines, or its recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institute

· Certificate of Fire Safety and Rescue.

· First Aid Certificate.

· Served satisfactorily as a Fire Station Officer for at least two (2) years.

· Shown merit and ability in work performance and results.

Job Description

· Direct fire crews in executing fire suppression strategies and ensuring the safety of all personnel involved.

· Coordinate and perform rescue operations during fires, accidents, and other emergencies, such as vehicle extractions and medical emergencies.

· Respond promptly to all emergency calls, ensuring that all equipment and personnel are ready for immediate deployment.

· Provide advice and recommendations on fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and evacuation plans.

· Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including fire engines, hoses, ladders, breathing apparatus, and personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any equipment malfunctions or deficiencies to supervisors

· Complete detailed reports of fire incidents, including the nature of the fire, actions taken, resources used, and any casualties or injuries.

· Assist in the development and delivery of fire safety programs to local businesses, schools, and public events.
