Nairobi City County Public Service Board Disaster Management II Jobs

Job Requirement

• Diploma in Disaster Management disciplines or its equivalent.

• Served in graded. Disaster Management Officer III in a comparable position for minimum periods of 3 years and shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Job Description

· Maintain relationships with emergency responders, such as fire departments, police departments, and paramedics, to ensure that they are prepared to respond to disasters and emergencies in sub-counties

· Assist in developing communication plans to ensure that stakeholders and the public are informed about disasters and emergency response efforts.

· Assess the damage and identify the needs of the affected community or organization after a disaster or emergency.

· Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in disaster risk reduction

· Any other duty that the Supervisor may assign
