Our Client is a Society set apart for children's care, protection, welfare, and adoption. The Society wishes to seek qualified and dedicated candidates for the positions below to improve its mandate for Emergency Response, Welfare, and Rescue for Children at a national level.

General Duties

  • The Social workers will be responsible to the Head of their respective Program for duties assigned which include counseling children and parents, their rehabilitation, documenting Investigations scheduling meetings and attending court hearings, a general overview of investigating allegations removing children, and collaborating with the Community at both levels of government.The goal of the social worker is to form a strong bond between children and parents through intensive counseling.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete focus on the children, along with their parents or guardians.

  • Make strict decisions and some very powerful judgments that should be purely professional on the basis of parameters of healthy questioning and well-mannered queries for the best interest of the child.

  • Work with children and their families and try to bring into their lives lots of positivity and positive changes.

  • To ensure the welfare of children is taken into consideration in all aspects.

  • Participate in case investigations and inquiries.

  • Regularly receive and evaluate the reports and findings of cases such as child abuse.

  • Take immediate action if a child’s life is at risk to help him/her, by organizing the child’s rehabilitation or safe custody.

  • Assist the child so that the healing can take place so that s/he can easily cope with the trauma of maltreatment.

  • Refer children to other services that offer support if the
    child cannot be sent back to his previous home.

  • Looking for adoptive homes or foster parents

  • Preparation of reports and submitting them to Hop.

  • Attending court cases.Any other duties as may be assigned.

  • Ability to cordially interact with family members.

  • Ethical, cautious, and intelligent skills to help them make decisions while dealing with children’s matters.

  • Proper rationalizing and fact-finding skills.

  • Ability to make accurate investigations and develop instinctive thoughts.

  • Attention and focus to detail for each and every case that they come across as each of them is equally important.

  • Emotionally touchy and flexible.skillful and have a healthy relationship with children, their parents, guardians, and all the other professionals and organizations who work for child protection and care.

  • Teach families how to keep a child safe, and bring positivity into their lives, and yet not make them feel that an intervention was caused.

    Qualifications

  • A degree in social work/ 3 years experience as a probation officer or a children’s officer, and experience in child protection
