Our Client is a Society set apart for children's care, protection, welfare, and adoption. The Society wishes to seek qualified and dedicated candidates for the positions below to improve its mandate for Emergency Response, Welfare, and Rescue for Children at a national level.

General Duties

  • The Senior Manager programs will be responsible functionally to the Chief Executive Officer and administratively to the GM/Children’s Services and will be tasked with ensuring the responsibility of coordination of child protection services as laid out in the organization’s policies and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participated in strategic management and governance for implementations of a range of CWSK programs and services including family violence, drug and alcohol, integrated family services, child development, and family day care services.

  • Assist in Planning, developing, and administering the family services programs across all branches, ensuring an integrated and comprehensive system of services for families.

  • Ensure coordination of Programs and communication with staff, parents, and the community to enhance services for families and children for enhancement of CWSK programs; Supervision of Social Workers and all other programs staff assigned to the department.

  • Monitor the assessment of family needs and development of family plans to ensure appropriate services are provided and desired outcomes
    are achieved.

  • Participating in case investigations and inquiries

  • Ensure that challenging behaviors presented by children are addressed timely with appropriate services.

  • Monitor direct services to children and families through site visits and the use of an electronic database.

  • Manages current programs, develops, and implements new programs and provides technical advice on CWSK affairs; and performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • A degree in social work or 10 years experience as a probation officer or a children’s officer, experience in child protection, and 8-year Supervisory experience.
