Our Client is a Society set apart for children's care, protection, welfare, and adoption. The Society wishes to seek qualified and dedicated candidates for the positions below to improve its mandate for Emergency Response, Welfare, and Rescue for Children at a national level.

General Duties

  • The Lab Technologist will perform laboratory administrative duties by receiving samples from sick children and patients as needed, calculating, and recording analytical results in the appropriate logbook. They perform laboratory analysis of human samples and evaluate specimens received by the laboratory and organize workflow to provide optimum efficiency of testing and dispatch of results.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, label, and analyze samples (blood, toxic, tissue, etc.)

  • Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings.

  • Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods.

  • Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.

  • Maintain records of test results and archives of data.

  • Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.

  • Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean
    and orderly environment.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

  • Clinical diagnosis and prescription for orphans and vulnerable children Key competencies
    proven experience as Lab Technician or relevant position.

  • In-depth knowledge of preventative measures and laboratory best practices.

  • Excellent physical condition and endurance.

  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.

  • Valid laboratory technician license.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Report writing skills.

  • Ability to write complex reports.

  • Demonstrate high levels of integrity.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent team player.Computer literate

    Qualifications

  • Diploma / Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Registration (KMLTTB), practicing license, 2-year experience.
