Our Client is a Society set apart for children's care, protection, welfare, and adoption. The Society wishes to seek qualified and dedicated candidates for the positions below to improve its mandate for Emergency Response, Welfare, and Rescue for Children at a national level.

General Duties

The G.M/Children's Services will be responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for overseeing the execution of the strategic plan, administration, and planning of CWSK function and management of children services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting the office of the Chief Executive Officer in the implementation of CWSK policies, practices, strategies, standards, guidelines, and programmes

Assist with planning and coordination of programs and their activities.

They are monitoring the implementation of program plans and practices.

Supervised Social workers and oversaw employees for various programs, leading them, allocating tasks among them, and performing outreach duties.

Managing staff work assignments, workloads, and work schedules.

Coordinate interactions between staff, clients, and all other program stakeholders.

Coordinate program communications.

Coordinating and participating in case investigations and inquiries.

Collaborating with relevant agencies and other stakeholders to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of children’s social programs.

Monitor and evaluate program standards to ensure program goals are met.

Support the organization in the maintenance of a healthy work culture and help build positive relations within the organization and external parties.

Engage in professional

development and training and manage sensitization and awareness creation on CWSK activities.

Network with other departments, agencies, and organizations to expand knowledge of services and coordination.

Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations (video conferencing, presentations, etc.);

Conduct meetings frequently with social workers and Child Protection Officers to discuss service delivery for the best interest of the child, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A degree in social work or 10 years experience as a probation officer or a children’s officer, experience in child protection, and 10-year Supervisory experience.
