Our Client is a Society set apart for children's care, protection, welfare, and adoption. The Society wishes to seek qualified and dedicated candidates for the positions below to improve its mandate for Emergency Response, Welfare, and Rescue for Children at a national level.

General Duties

  • The clinical officer will be responsible to the Branch Administrative Officer for the performance of general and specialized medical duties such as follows:

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury, ordering and interpreting medical tests for the children at TPS.

  • Taking history, examining, diagnosing, ordering laboratory, and imaging investigations, and making referrals when necessary.

  • Interpreting laboratory and imaging results.

  • Referring sick children to other practitioners or the Doctor on call and managing health services at the centers.

  • Assessing, preparing, and presenting medical reports and referring sick children to appropriate health facilities.

  • Collecting and compiling clinical data.

  • Guiding and counseling sick children and staff on health issues; sensitizing children and staff on preventive and promotive health.

  • Carrying out routine medical and surgical procedures.

  • Providing HIV/TB and related treatment to the children affected at TPS.

  • Ensure that optimal standard of care is achieved in line with National Health guidelines and
    good clinical

  • Ensure effective clinical procedures, rules, and regulations are consistent with MOH guidelines and the organization.

  • Handle patient data/ information confidentially at all times.Prepare the weekly reports.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

  • Compassion and diplomacy.

  • Good analytical skills.

  • Self-initiative.

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and Swahili).

    Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in clinical medicine, Practicing License, and 4 years experience.
