Mwananchi Credit Ltd Head of Collection & Recovery Jobs in Kenya


Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Governance

  • Lead the design and execution of collection and recovery strategies aligned with institutional goals.

    Collections Operations

  • Oversee daily collections operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and achievement of recovery targets.

    Recovery and Legal

  • Manage recovery processes, including legal actions, negotiations, and settlements with defaulting clients.

    Compliance and Customer Treatment

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and fair customer treatment practices.

    Analytics and People

  • Drive data‑driven decision‑making through analytics while mentoring and managing the collections team.

    Must Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Law, or a related field.

  • Master’s Degree is an added advantage.

  • Professional qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, CCP, or credit‑management certification.

  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in banking or microfinance operations, five (5) of which must be at senior management level.
