Deputy High Commission Common Services Officer Jobs in Nigeria

The Common Services Officer, under the direction of the Management Counsellor, ensures the implementation of program objectives and functionally supervises the Embassy’s administrative functions, including finance and human resources. The incumbent directly plans and administers the Embassy’s budget, contracting and projects, as well as conducts research and analysis to advise Management on financial matters.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for administering and coordinating all the security activities in the University.

He or she specifically handles the following responsibilities:

In-charge of security;

Carrying out investigations;

Attending all security meetings;

Looking after the University properties such as buildings, furniture, vehicles, equipment, etc;

Paying particular attention on the security of students and advising the administration on what precautions to take;

Planning and organizing training of security staff

Requirements

Applicants must be holders of a Masters degree in Security Management, Criminology or its equivalent;

Must have served for eight (8) years three (3) of which must be at Principal Security Officer Grade 12;

Must have served as Senior Superintendent of Police in the Kenya Police Service or in

the rank of Major in the Kenya Defence Forces;

Should be physically and medically fit;

Must be at least 40 years of age;

Has no criminal record and must be a person of high integrity.
