Magadi Road.

The University is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the following
positions:

FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS

Multimedia University of Kenya Lecturer – Procurement and Logistics Job Vacancies

Grade MAC 12 – Ref: MMU/EA/03/04/2018

Responsibilities

Lecturing specific units of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;

Participating in review and preparation of training courses, programmes and schemes of work;

Assessing student’s performance and preparing students progress reports;

Carrying out research work in relevant field or specialization; and

Assisting in conducting seminars/workshops or symposia and coordinate courses.

Coordinating of course, project and practical work;

Preparing teaching/learning materials;

Setting and marking examination/ assignments;

Maintaining discipline in lecture rooms/halls;

Developing proposals to attract research grants.

Writing journal articles and books;

Presenting academic papers in seminars/workshops or symposia;

Peer-reviewing of publications to in academic journals;

Developing and reviewing academic programmes/curricula;

Supervising Tutorial/Junior Research Fellows and students.

Develop linkages and collaborations for student exchange programs; and

Undertaking consultancy services.

Qualifications

Applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer

Grade MAC 13 MUST be holders of the
following qualifications, relevant work experience and publications as indicated below:-

PhD in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement and Logistics from recognized/accredited university;

OR

Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management from an accredited and recognised university with at least three (3) years teaching experience at the university level
or in research / industry. The applicant must also be pursuing a PhD in Supply Chain Management.

Minimum three (3) years teaching experience at a University;

A minimum of twenty four (24) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent sixteen (16) of which should be from refereed scholarly journals.

Be registered by relevant Professional Body (where applicable);

Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution; and

Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

The above positions carry competitive remuneration packages which include among
others, basic salary, medical cover, house, transport and leave allowances.

FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Multimedia University of Kenya Tutorial Fellow - Physics Job Vacancies

[Grade MAC 11 – Ref: MMU/EA/04/04/2018

Duties and Responsibilities

Lecturing in area of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;

Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;

Setting and marking examination/ assignments;

Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of senior lecturer.

Preparing students progress reports;

Maintaining discipline in lecture rooms/halls; and

Prepare publications and/or books;

Qualifications

Master of Science in Physics from an accredited and recognized University;

Bachelor of Science in Physics or Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from accredited and recognized university;

Be registerable for a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification;

Should demonstrate competence in teaching and research in Applied Optics and LASERS;

Certificate in Computer Applications skills from a recognized institution;

Be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where
applicable); and

Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research.
