1. Cateress I (Executive Chef), Grade MNT 9 (1 Position) – Ref: MMU/EA/10/10/2019

(a) Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:-

(i) Preparing menus, their costing and food delivery;

(ii) Planning for food orders;

(iii) Overseeing development and implementation of methods for food production;

(iv) Ensuring maintenance of standard recipes;

(v) Carrying out control of product quality, food production technology and raw food
product laying norms:

(vi) Supporting the Hotel Manager in the preparation of the hotel Budget;

(vii) Managing kitchen equipment;

(viii) Supervising cleanliness of catering facilities;

(ix) Coordinating food preparation, cooking, placement and delivery of foodstuff;

(x) Liaising with the Hotel Manager in reviewing menus and dietary requirements;

(xi) Maximizing employee productivity and morale and constantly maintaining discipline:

(xii) Coaching and mentoring staff; and

(xiii) Performing any other duties as shall be assigned by the Hotel Manager from time to
time.

(b) Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

(i) Served in the grade of Cateress II for a minimum period of three (3) years or as a Senior
Hotel Supervisory Position in a busy Hotel;

(ii) Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Hotel and Hospitality
Management; Hotel and Catering Management; Hospitality and Institutional
Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and

(iii) Diploma in Food Production from a recognized institution;

(iv) Certificate in Computer Application skills course from a recognized institution.

(v) Valid Certificate of Health for food Handlers; and

(vi) Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Terms and Conditions:

The above positions carry competitive remuneration packages which include among others, basic
salary, medical cover, house, transport and leave allowances.

The successful candidate for the

position of Marketing Officer II/Sales Representative, Grade
MNT 8 and Cateress I (Executive Chef), Grade MNT 9 (1 Position) shall hold office on a contract
period of two (2) years.

areas of specialization, one of who must be a recent/last employer.

their confidential reports in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the specific reference number,
