Mukwano industries Uganda Limited Extension Services Manager Jobs in Uganda

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager – Lira, the Successful Candidate Will

Prepare and implement annual budget for the Mukwano Agriculture Program

Supervise and provide technical assistance to Extension Workers

Communicate to farmers through community meetings and radio talk shows

Collaborate with donor funding agencies that give aid to farmers

Oversee the Group’s corporate social responsibility in the region

Appraise the performance of Extension Coordinators

Prepare annual work plans and reports.

Oversee capacity building for lower level extension personnel and farmers.

Coordinate research and development activities.

Programming farm demonstrations for new farming technologies.

Any other duties assigned by the Business Unit Manager – Lira

Education, Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or a related discipline

3 years’ experience in a related function

Skills and Competencies

Must have excellent professional, integrity, confidentiality, analytical, innovative, report writing, communication, team work and customer care skills.

Should have a positive attitude, be self-driven, flexible, results focused, work under pressure with minimum supervision and the ability to work for long hours.
