Mukwano Industries Mold technician Jobs in Uganda

Key Result Areas:

Operate, calibrate and maintain machinery,

Inspect finished products to ensure quality work,

Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and workflow,

Work with production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements as required,

Provide molded components in a timely manner in order to ensure production and schedules are met,

Manage raw molding materials in a way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination,

Generate documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility,

Work with marketing, Quality Control, and Manufacturing departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new products,

Design and develop new molds, molding processes, techniques, process,

Eliminate production of defective parts and products,

Regulate molding temperature, volume, pressure, and time.

Any other duties assigned by the workshop manager.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor of Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Machining technology or any other related discipline,

Minimum of 2 years significant working experience in molding environment in a large company.

Skills & Professional Attributes Required

Strong general management and demonstrated leadership skills,

Must be good at application of creativity and innovative skills in managing projects,

Should have good analyzing skills as well,

Should be a problem-solver and be able to grasp the problem at hand and take quick steps to resolve it,

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,

Good knowledge of press tool molds,

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
