MTN Analyst - MoMo and Inbound Channel Analyst Jobs in Uganda



Main Purpose:

Planning, implementing, maintaining, and commercializing inbound marketing channel initiative to drive voice, data and digital revenue growth as well as mobile money commercial function with analysis and insights.

Main Job Functions:

• Plan, create, and implement comprehensive inbound strategies and initiatives to drive new business opportunities, and manage channel expansion.

• Creating, managing, and executing inbound initiatives across all available channels like USSD, App, Web, queuing system and digital channels.

• Analyze and report on the effectiveness for each channel marketing efforts and adjust as needed.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as design and product, to create cohesive marketing campaigns.

• Monitor industry trends and stay up to date on new marketing technologies and techniques.

• Provide training and support to team members on inbound marketing best practices and tools.

• Measuring the effectiveness of inbound campaigns against agreed key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Conduct market and competitor research, and develop strategies based on those findings.

• Develop and implement advanced models and instruments that drive business growth and reduce revenue exposure.

• Own the development and implementation of value propositions, programs, and projects to ensure growth and profitability of inbound marketing channel.

• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on the impact of inbound campaigns and initiatives.

• Perform Mobile money analysis & propose actions to reduce churn, growth RGS and product uptake/penetration across the different product line

• Recommend creative and innovative solutions to enhance MTN performance.

• Establish sound relationships with service providers and vendors and business segments.

• Encourage continuous service improvement.

• Implement cost-saving activities.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Actuarial Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Business computing or Commerce

• Campaign Management & Go to Market (GTM)

• Customer Analytics and CRM,

• Advanced analytics (SQL, Python, R)

• Business analysis and intelligence

• Statistical analysis

• Application development and management

Work Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in business analysis and financial modeling in the marketing environment.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g SQL, Python, R).

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple data sources efficiently.

• Demonstrated leadership in predictive and heuristic modelling within a large organization.

• Telecommunication experience is an added advantage.

Knowledge:

• Expertise in customer data, information systems, data warehouses, data marts, business intelligence software and systems

• CVM methodology, principles, capabilities, and techniques.

• Business Analysis and Data Management

• Statistical modeling and multivariate analysis

• Segmentation techniques

• Scoring techniques

• Data Quality analysis

• Algorithm Knowledge

• Data mining and predictive analytics

• Reporting and performance analysis

• Knowledge of local markets, including market trends

• Business Performance Measurement & Management

• Business and financial planning

• Strong Knowledge in Campaign Management and CRM tools (Flytxt is an added advantage)

• Advanced statistical software skills (SQL, Python, R, etc)

• Advanced use of Excel (Excel, VBA for Excel, etc)

• Business and strategic acumen

• Strong interpersonal, negotiation skill and conflict management skill
