Mr Price Group Assistant Store Manager Mr Price Whale Coast Mall Hermanus Jobs in South Africa;The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in managing daily operations to ensure overall objectives, store targets, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Ensure stock is accurately received, unpacked, and replenished on the sales floor

  • Monitor and manage stock levels to mitigate risks and ensure availability

  • Oversee stockroom maintenance to meet housekeeping standards

  • Authorise write‑offs, breakages, recalls, and returns

    Sales Growth & Profitability

  • Analyse sales and profitability reports to inform operational action plans

  • Review product performance and provide feedback to support centre

  • Identify and propose opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness

    Risk Management

  • Conduct compliance checks to enforce adherence to policies and procedures

    Customer Experience Management

  • Implement customer experience processes to meet service standards

    Leadership & Development

  • Lead and drive the team to achieve KPIs and operational strategy

  • Identify training, coaching, and development needs

  • Recruit, administer, and manage performance in line with company policies

    Qualifications

  • Grade 12

  • 2–3 years’ supervisory or assistant store management experience

  • Understanding of sales and service management

  • Budgeting skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Effective communication skills

  • Knowledge of retail trade, brand, customer, and product
