Summary Role:

  • The SFA manager will be responsible for work, together with the MPL ICT department setting up and implementing the MIO system to allow the sales force
    track the sales data using the smart phones as well as enabling MPL to download the data on computers.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advising management about the need for system modification is also the responsibility of the SFA manager. Due to the market dynamics, there may be a
    need to customize the system to suit the commercial team needs that will require new set ups to be made.

  • The SFA Manager is expected to select and train some sales team members to be MIO super users who will be able to train others in the times of need.

  • Outlet data collection is among the major uses of MIO. The SFA manager will ensure the system is set up to enable the collection of the outlet details into MPL main data base.

  • Uploading the sales data into SAP through the MIO system is required regularly for management decisions. The SFA manager will be responsible for data uploads into SAP.

  • Conduct refresher training to bridge the team knowledge gaps.

  • Responsible for the supervision of the sales force to perfect the use of the system and shall work with the Head of Sales to ensure proper system
    utilization.

  • Produce regular reports about the sales force effectiveness (SFE) Matrix e.g. reporting time, time spent in the market, outlets visited, successful calls, Volume per outlet (VPO), etc.

  • Responsible for coordinating with the system developers for possible system upgrades to improve the effectiveness.

  • Ensure data reliability through system controls

  • You will give timely reports to the sales managers about their team’s performance on the KPIs.

  • Ensure the system is set
    to allow reports about the Distributor stock levels.

  • Ensure system is set to allow visibility of the sales force.

  • Upload all the SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) into the MIO system.

  • Let the system give visibility of the competitor information for market share tracking upload the sales documents like DOSA forms, Customer service index (CSI), Distributor Income statement into MIO for easy use by the commercial supervisors.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field of study from a recognized university.

  • Has experience in the management of FMCG distributors.

  • A minimum of six (6) years’ relevant work experience in FMCG sales and distribution setting

  • At least 3 years in the management of a SFA (Sales Force Automation ) system

  • Ability to analyze data and interpret data for commercial action

  • Membership to Chartered Institute of Management is an added advantage

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and numerical skills with a strong business acumen

  • Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily management details and remaining organized and focused.

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision

  • Ability to assess problems and develop solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills with a high demonstrable level of integrity
