Main Purpose

  • The EPC is responsible to lead the education in emergency (EiE) projects.

  • He/she will base at head office and coordinates the field office projects.

  • EPC will participate in cluster meeting at national level, ensure smooth communication with donors and compile reports and mobilize resources.

  • The incumbent will work to strengthen the Education programmes of the organization.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • The EPC is responsible for planning, implementation and monitoring of the MCMDO education programmes.

  • The EPC reports to the Program Director. She/he is also responsible for ensuring adherence to the implementation of program activities according to nationally accepted standards guidelines.

    The following are the key roles and responsibilities;

  • Organize monitoring sessions with the key stakeholders, donors and the MERL department of MCMDO

  • Provide technical support and leadership to project coordinators and field staffs

  • Participate in Cluster coordination meetings

  • Provide trainings for project staffs

  • Develop or strengthen Education SOPs and guidelines of different services

  • Develop success stories to be shared for donors and PR of the organization

  • Conduct different assessments and produce reports

  • Conduct regular follow up and support to targeted schools

    Job Requirements

    Qualification

  • BA/MA degree in Education Development planning and Management, and related fields with seven years for BA and four years for MA working

  • 5 years minimum experience

  • Previous management experience on education programmes in NGO context is desirable

  • Essential computer literacy (word, excel)

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to humanitarian objectives

  • Highly motivated, flexibility, quick learning and team working;

  • Fluent in spoken and written English, local language is an asset
