Job Description

Moringa School is a rapidly growing organization in response to an increasing demand from students, faculty, community organizations, and corporations for opportunities to collaborate.

Our Selections Assistant supports this growth and development by helping our Admissions team with handling the admissions and interview process to ensure only the best are recruited into the program.

This shall entail running experiments that will give concrete data to inform decisions and enable scaling. This person will be in charge of ensuring more automated and shortened student onboarding processes as outlined below:

  • Creating or leading recruitment initiatives and using independent judgment and analysis to evaluate student applicants
  • Participating at internal and external recruitment focused events. This includes support at internal and external recruitment focused events such as Open Days
  • Managing data and information related to the details of prospective students right from the inquiry calls to the steps taken up for follow up; granting of admissions and subsequent joining of the course.
  • Accurate entry of the relevant data to track the new joiners and status regarding the completion of admission procedures.
  • Conducting interviews for applicants and submitting written evaluations for the students
  • Directing, leading and advising on payment plans and schedules
  • Overseeing signing of student contracts as per the schedule
  • Reporting to the Admissions lead regarding the final status of admission as to how many students have been admitted and the waiting
    list.
  • Liaising with the Classroom team on Admissions related processes
  • Continuously running A/B tests across processes to determine the most optimal course of action
  • Ensuring all processes are adhered to in-line with set timelines and standards and that they are designed to seamlessly scale across new markets and courses
  • Working with different teams to build strong rubrics that will help define the ideal candidate for each course offering

    Requirement of the Role:
  • 2-3+ years experience in an educational background
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to be able to handle and respond to the inquiries and guide the students on the documentation and the relevant admission procedures
  • Data driven with persistent desire to analyze and improve performance
  • Flexibility to work in a changing schedule as per the requirement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
