Last year, on March 20, 2020, President Yoweri Museveni, among other directives, ordered the closure of schools to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Although there had not been any confirmed case of coronavirus as of that date, Museveni said all primary and secondary schools, universities and other institutions of learning would be closed.
