Job Purpose:
  • An Officer at this level will be responsible for the Security Services.

  • Maintains safe and secure environments for customers and employees, assets and facilities by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures, supervising the security guard force.


    Responsibilities:
    Responsibilities for deputy manager security services include.

  • Developing, implementing and reviewing security policies, regulations, rules, standards; norms, protocols and procedures.
  • Analyzing and submitting security operation reports receiving and disseminating intelligence reports.
  • Communicating security status, updates, and actual or potential problems to the
    management.
  • Conduct regular risk assessment analysis,
  • Coordinating maintenance of crime and incidents records and charts.
  • Developing security policies, regulations, rules, standards, norms, protocols and procedures.
  • Ensuring implementation of security policies and procedures in the Hospital.
  • Establishing a risk-based security program to identify, measure and assess security risks in premises, activities, and processes of the hospital in accordance with security framework.
  • Review the investigations on reported incidents, fraud, the, escalate security red flags to Hospital Management.
  • Monitoring and follow up of Kenya Security status as well as advising the Hospital on the impact of emerging security issues.
  • Liaise as required with external security, investigators and assist in preparation of the required documentation of cases, reviewing of external security bills and regularly update on security reports.
  • Providing expertise in the emergency response and serious incident process.
  • Monitoring security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements, policies and directives.
  • Maintaining all Surveillance, knowledge of CCTV Codes of Practice, security systems, including CCTV and access control, and procedures to promote effective security operations for the protection of assets, people and data.


    Minimum Requirements:

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

  • Served for a minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work with at least four (4) in supervisory capacity.

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminology & Security Studies /Security Management/ Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Master's Degree Criminology & Security Studies
    /Security Management/ Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

  • A current Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.

  • Six (6) weeks approved security course from the Kenya Police Service.

  • Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.

  • Must have served in the National Police Service at the rank of Superintendent of Police or equivalent and above.

  • Training in Risk and Quality Management system.

  • Valid 2022 Membership to relevant professional body.

  • Certificate in computer applications skills from a recognized institution.
