Applicants must have TSC Registration. Teachers will be reporting to the Head Teacher, the candidate will take role of developing and shaping young minds by providing competent knowledge.

Key responsibilities and weighting (adds to 100%) Key tasks & outputs

Implementation of integrated curriculum.

  • Teaching using professional records and right methodology.
  • Ensure use of timetable and other mechanisms for controlling time.
  • Receiving and distribution of school learning materials and resources distribute to areas/pupils/students; ensure proper use and account for materials received at the end of every term. Should also report any losses, breakages, need for replacements in a timely manner to enable decision making.
  • Use of academic circulars

    Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student’s progress.

  • Giving tests and other evaluations.
  • Ensuring remedial classes are offered.
  • Consistent giving of assignments and homework and ensuring timely marking and correction of pupils/students as appropriate.
  • Conducting academic clinics.

    In charge of school weekly duties.

  • Ensuring that class attendance records are maintained.
  • Monitoring of students attendance and punctuality.
  • Supervise the service of food during meal times when pupils/students are in school/in school functions e.g. trips, parties e.tc
  • Exude high level of vigilance by timely pre-empting any potential danger to ensure safety of pupils/students in the compound and timely report on any accident or incidence.
  • Ensuring that all students are in the right school uniform and are neat and well kempt.
  • Supervise cleaning of classrooms and ensure pupils do not litter the compound or deface the walls ,floors etc
  • Ensuring order when students are out of class to eliminate yelling, playing and running on the staircases and giving way to adults in the compound.
  • Actively promote consistent school and class attendance and reporting absenteeism cases to both the social workers and the Head teacher for follow-ups.

    In-charge of class co –curricular activities and student’s
    devotion i.e. games, sports.


  • Ensuring student’s abilities and talents are nurtured.
  • Accompanying and participating with the pupils/students in games to ensure guidance and order.
  • Constitute, ensure membership and promote active participation in school clubs by pupils/students
  • Attending and sharing during spiritual devotion times with the pupils/students and staff .

    In charge of class discipline

  • Ensuring that students understand the school rules and discipline procedures and their responsibility towards achieving a high level of discipline and academic performance.
  • Ensure the class and school rules are strictly followed.
  • Teaching of life skills at classroom level as per the curriculum.

    A role model, a mentor of other teachers and a guardian to pupils.

  • Regular inspection of students’ lockers/boxes/bags/dormitories to eliminate contraband, non permitted, stolen items in and out of school and writing monthly reports per class and report to the Centre Manager.
  • Guiding and counselling the students on basic life issues and referring appropriately.
