MoH Headquarters Principal Environmental Health Officer Jobs in Uganda



Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health from a recognized University or Institution.

  • A postgraduate qualification in Environmental Health from a recognized University or Institution

  • A postgraduate qualification in Public Health from a recognized University or Institution

    Experience Details

  • Should have at least six (6) years working experience in Environmental Health, three (3) of which should be at the level of Senior Officer

    Key Competences required for the post

  • Should have strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills, high integrity and a community service ethic

    Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas

  • Plan and initiate policies, strategies and programmes for control of environmental health hazards

  • Promote safe sewage disposal of solid or industrial waste

  • Participate in preparation of evaluation reports

  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

  • Monitor environmental wastes management

  • Promote capacity building for environmental waste management
