Modest Appeal for Book Donation

Hello,

I am Anthony , a librarian at the Meru University of Science and Technology in Kenya, Africa.

The Meru University of science and technology is a government sponsored institution that has recently been upgraded from its former status as an university college/ middle level college.

In this century, we as information providers/dissemination entities, are much aware that information needs of the library users can not be met in solitude and their is need for resource sharing.

Meru University of Science and Technology is a newly Chartered Kenyan University formerly a middle level college that has approximately 3000 student population and growing at a very first rate with every intake.

It is in this regard that i write that you may consider donating tertiary/middle level college books to this institution be it the physical books or funding towards purchase of library resources.

As a librarian here i would like to see the information resource grow to be able to sustain the ever increasing need for knowledge and i am requesting the your institution be a partner in this noble endeavor.

The following are the major university schools:

school of business and economics (commerce, purchasing and supplies management, I.T and entrepreneur)
school of Agriculture and food Science (crop protection, Horticulture, Nutrition and Technology)
School of Information Technology and Engineering( computer science, information technology, electronics, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering)
School of pure and applied sciences (mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, public health and community health development)

Your consideration and assistance will be highly appreciated and will bring us closer to our targets

Looking forward to positive response and your continued support

Kind Regards

Kinoti Anthony Mwenda
