M-KOPA Solar Senior Manager - Communications Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Senior Manager, Communications to lead integrated communications, reputation management and stakeholder engagement across M‑KOPA’s markets. The postholder will provide strategic counsel, manage sensitive issues, align brand and corporate reputation, and deliver hands‑on ownership of communications activities across internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

Strategic Communications & Counsel

  • Draft media pitches, executive briefings and leadership speeches.

  • Counsel senior stakeholders on sensitive issues and change narratives.

  • Align campaigns, brand and corporate reputation with business objectives.

  • Partner with HR on employee communications and organisational change.

    Reputation & Issues Management

  • Manage high‑stakes communications where judgement matters.

  • Lead crisis communications beyond playbook responses.

  • Anticipate risks and advise leaders under pressure.

    Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build relationships with media, partners, government stakeholders and regulators.

  • Work directly with Country MDs and senior executives.

  • Navigate diverse agendas and provide clear counsel.

    Integrated Communications

  • Balance external and internal communications.

  • Ensure consistency across brand, campaigns and corporate reputation.

  • Support employee communications, leadership messaging and culture.

    Operational Ownership

  • Manage agencies, suppliers and budgets.

  • Handle procurement, purchase orders and spend tracking.

  • Deliver communications
    from strategy through execution.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, PR or related field.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

    Experience

  • Proven career in corporate or integrated communications.

  • Reputation and crisis management expertise.

  • Multi‑market experience across Africa.

  • Experience in fintech, technology or high‑growth environments.

  • Ability to operate lean and deliver without large teams.

    Skills & Competencies

  • Strong strategic instincts and execution ability.

  • Excellent writing and content development skills.

  • Stakeholder confidence and relationship‑building.

  • Ability to influence across functions and geographies.

  • Comfort in complex, fast‑moving environments.
