M-KOPA Solar Phone Repairs Technician Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Phone Repairs Technician to ensure swap stock availability by conducting technical repair and testing of M‑KOPA faulty products returned to the warehouse, including smartphones and assorted accessories. The postholder will carry out component analysis, perform repairs, test devices and support refurbishment to maintain high‑quality standards.

Responsibilities

Technical Repairs & Testing

  • Conduct component analysis of smartphones to identify defects.

  • Perform initial screening and quality checks of faulty devices.

  • Carry out technical repairs using hand and power tools.

  • Advance technical knowledge with new product entries and fault codes.

  • Test and inspect products after repair to prevent future failures.

    Refurbishment & Stock Management

  • Refurbish repaired products before dispatch to retail outlets.

  • Maintain repair equipment through regular checks and part replacements.

  • Diagnose repair equipment issues and recommend solutions.

  • Capture and track data on repaired units, fault codes and resolutions.

  • Conduct periodic cycle counts and monthly stock counts.

    Process & Compliance

  • Adhere to Kaizen 6S principles.

  • Meet daily repair targets to ensure swap stock availability.

  • Ensure accurate documentation
    and reporting of repair activities.

    Requirements

    Education

  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering.

    Experience

  • Minimum 1 year in electronics engineering with repair experience.

  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly.

  • Familiarity with testing systems, tools and failure analysis procedures.

  • Experience with or willingness to learn required software.

  • Hands‑on experience with embedded systems preferred.

    Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem‑solving and technical repair skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
