M-KOPA Solar Lead Engineer - AI Agents Jobs in Kenya; The Lead Engineer for AI Agents heads the AI Ops Agents team, owning delivery, growing the function, and proving value through production‑grade agents and automations. The role combines technical leadership with people management, ensuring M‑KOPA’s internal operations and customer‑facing products benefit from AI integration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead three AI Ops Engineers, managing delivery, development, and day‑to‑day work.

  • Prioritise competing requests using a clear prioritisation framework.

  • Design and ship multi‑agent systems and production‑grade automations that improve internal and customer‑facing workflows.

  • Build RAG pipelines for internal knowledge retrieval grounded in organisational context.

  • Maintain and scale the AI tooling stack across 2,500+ employees.

  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and evaluate practical value.

  • Refine AI training for the wider organisation, including Software Engineering teams.

    Technical Environment

  • AI & Agentic Frameworks: Claude, Claude Code, Anthropic tooling, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, Google ADK.

  • Automation & Prototyping: scripting, workflow tools, rapid prototyping (Vercel/Railway).

  • Enterprise Tooling: identity automation (Entra), Notion, HiBob integrations.

  • Existing foundation: Claude, Claude Code, Notion, HiBob, and Entra automations already in production.

    Qualifications & Competencies

    Required Experience

  • Hands‑on experience building production‑grade automations and AI agents.

  • Experience with multi‑agent
    systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, or Google ADK.

  • Experience with RAG pipelines for knowledge retrieval and workflow automation.

  • Background in enterprise tooling, rapid prototyping, and identity automation.

  • People leadership experience, with proven ability to lead or mentor engineers.

    Preferred Attributes

  • Strong technical background with product‑focused mindset.

  • Ability to evaluate emerging AI tools for practical value.

  • Experience integrating AI into customer‑facing products.
