M-KOPA Solar Demand Planning Lead Jobs in Kenya;The job holder leads the demand planning process by analyzing market trends, historical performance, sales inputs and demand drivers to develop accurate forecasts. The role coordinates with cross‑functional teams to optimize inventory levels, support timely product availability, minimize cost exposure and improve operational efficiency.

Key Job Functions

  • Develop, maintain and improve demand forecast models using historical data, sales trends and market insights.

  • Lead monthly demand planning cycle including forecast reviews and SKU‑level submissions.

  • Establish and monitor forecast accuracy metrics, analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.

  • Communicate forecast, inventory and demand assumptions to management and teams.

  • Monitor and report changes in sales forecasts, budgets, promotions, seasonal demand and new product introductions.

  • Support inventory planning by identifying demand risks, supply constraints and opportunities to optimize safety stock.

  • Conduct root‑cause analysis on forecast discrepancies and resolve demand issues.

  • Facilitate forecast review meetings with commercial, finance, supply chain and management teams.

  • Contribute to annual budget planning with demand forecasts and sales trend analysis.

  • Maintain demand planning processes, tools and reporting routines to improve forecasting discipline.

    Education

  • Recognized Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management,
    Business or related field.

    Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning or supply chain analysis.

    Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning and supply chain operations.

  • Analytical, mathematical and statistical skills to interpret data and identify demand patterns.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of ERP or demand planning systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, problem‑solving and attention to detail.

  • Customer‑ and market‑focused with ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Ability to multitask and deliver accurate outputs in fast‑paced environment.
