M-KOPA Solar Care Centre & Refurb Manager Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Care Centre & Refurb Manager to lead repair and refurbishment operations, ensuring high‑quality standards, efficient throughput and strong external brand partnerships. The postholder will supervise teams, manage production, oversee CRM data integrity, coordinate quality assurance and collaborate with engineering to improve product reliability.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor and guide Care Centre and Refurb Team Leads.

  • Conduct training sessions to improve technical skills.

  • Build a high‑performance culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.

    Production & Backlog Management

  • Ensure sustained production of second‑life devices.

  • Manage capacity, staffing and workflow to prevent backlogs.

  • Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions.

    External Brand Partnerships

  • Act as primary contact for partner brands (e.g., Samsung).

  • Coordinate service levels, turnaround times and relationship management.

  • Ensure partner expectations are consistently met.

    CRM Custodianship

  • Oversee care partner CRM system data capture and integrity.

  • Ensure timely analysis and reporting.

  • Maintain reliable operational insights.

    Process Coordination & Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate repair and rework processes for customer‑returned phones.

  • Monitor quality of repairs and ensure compliance with standards.

  • Implement quality control checkpoints.

    Collaboration with Process Engineer

  • Identify and address systemic issues causing customer returns.

  • Provide feedback to assembly line teams.

  • Translate repair trend data into actionable insights.

    Reporting & Customer Feedback

  • Compile and analyze repair and refurb data.

  • Report findings to Head of Manufacturing.

  • Provide insights to customer service
    team.

    Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.

  • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

    Requirements

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics or related field.

  • 5+ years in electronics repair/refurbishment.

  • 3+ years in supervisory or managerial role.

  • Hands‑on repair experience with complex cases.

    Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of mobile phone repair processes.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and reporting.

  • Familiarity with refurbishment workflows and throughput management.

    Leadership & Management Skills

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.

  • Experience training and coaching technicians.

  • Track record in high‑volume, quality‑critical environments.

    Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills

  • Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis abilities.

  • Data‑driven approach to backlog and production optimization.

    Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Experience managing OEM/brand relationships.

  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder coordination.

  • Ability to manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously.
