Mirema School Accounts Assistant Jobs in Kenya; Join the Finance Department as an Accounts Assistant, supporting essential financial and accounting operations — from daily bookkeeping to budget preparation and facilitating audits. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial integrity and ensuring smooth school operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process financial documents including invoices, bills, and accounts payable/receivable entries.

  • Review and proofread requisitions from departments for accuracy and completeness.

  • Compile and submit regular financial reports to the Head of Accounts.

  • Verify bank deposits and assist with bank reconciliations.

  • Enter financial data into accounting software (QuickBooks or Sage).

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

  • Post daily financial transactions and record office expenditures in line with budget policies.

  • Assist in preparing budgets and managerial reports with the Head of Accounts and Finance Administrator.

    Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field.

  • CPA Part 2 (or equivalent professional qualification).

  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.

  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

  • Competent computer skills and ability to present financial data clearly.

  • Organized, dependable, and able to meet tight deadlines.
