Job Details

Credit Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

Determine the creditworthiness of both existing and prospective customers

Examine financial transactions and credit history on a case-by-case basis (applications, balance sheets, bank statements, legal documents, etc.)

Carry out ratio, trend, and cash flow analysis

Generate sound projections that can be justified with data

Judiciously analyze data and create clear, objective reports—assessing risks and benefits involved

Comply with all credit policies and guidelines; regularly monitor loans for compliance

Continually observe corporate portfolio asset quality

Draft models that predict trends and patterns in the credit market

Practice due diligence

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, statistics, or related field

Significant work history as a credit analyst in a financial institution is strongly preferred

Exceptional analytical abilities

Commitment to remaining current on all legal, compliance, and market risk matters

Proven experience analyzing cash flow, leverage, collateral, and customer creditworthiness

Solid communication and presentation skills

Honest, diligent and trustworthy
