Ministry of Water and Irrigation Intern - Geology Jobs in Kenya
Eligibility Requirements
Age between 25 and 35 years.
Hold a relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution.
Graduated not more than 2 years prior to this advertisement.
Not previously benefited from a government‑funded internship program.
Not formally employed in specialization after graduation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Complete tasks assigned by supervisors/mentors.
Document skills acquired during the internship.
Participate in mentorship activities and program responsibilities.
Adhere to quarterly monitoring and evaluation requirements.
Be ready for deployment to any relevant office/work station under HOAG‑W4R.
Abide by rules and regulations of the hosting institution.
Make effort to acquire relevant skills in specialization.
Observe confidentiality and safeguard tools/equipment.
Ensure clearance by relevant authority before leaving the internship station.
Duration & Stipend
Internship period: 12 months, non‑renewable.
Second cohort of 65 interns starts January 2027 (Q3 FY 2026/2027).
Monthly stipend paid per Public Service Internship Programme Guidelines (2019) and Internship Policy (2016).
Certificates issued upon successful completion.
Termination Grounds
Gross or disorderly conduct.
Unsatisfactory performance.
Commission of a criminal offence.
Intern‑Initiated Termination
One month’s written notice to Head of Institution via supervisor.
Two weeks’ notice before expiry of internship period.
