Qualifications and Requirements:

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:

  • a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Building Economics/Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Construction Management or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; OR a Bachelors degree in any of the following: Physics, Chemistry or any relevant field from a university recognized in Kenya with a Diploma in Technical Education/Post graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution.

    Responsibilities:

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • teaching in the area of specialization;

  • preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials and aids;

  • setting and marking course work/examination in the area of specialization; and

  • conducting and assessing practical projects for the trainers under the guidance of a senior lecturer in the department
