Minimum Qualification

  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University / Institution plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre.

    Working Experience

    Duties

    The Incumbent Will Be Responsible to the Senior State Attorney for Performing the Following Duties:-

  • Preparing and tendering advice to Government, Ministries and Agencies on matters related to litigation, arbitration and mediation matters;

  • Conducting pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments;

  • Researching, organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices;

  • Researching and preparing draft legal opinions;

  • Representing Government in negotiations;

  • Representing the Solicitor General in Contracts Committees of Ministries, Departments and Agencies;

  • Drafting and proof reading legislation;

  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
