Minimum Qualification

  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; or Humanities (Psychology; or Human Resource Management; or Sociology; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Human Rights; or Business Administration (Management option); or Community Based Rehabilitation from a recognized University/Institution. Possession of a specialized qualification in the area of Social Child Care and Rehabilitation will be an added advantage.

    Working Experience

  • Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience in Social Protection Policy, Regulatory Framework, Standards and Contemporary Social Development issues which should have been served at the level of Youth Officer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.

    Duties

    The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Probation and Welfare Officer for performing the following duties:-

  • Coordinating matters pertaining to Child Care, Rehabilitation and Protection;

  • Developing Work Plans and budgeting for child care and protection;

  • Supervising, monitoring and evaluating child protection institutions;

  • Compiling quarterly and annual reports for child care and protection;

  • Advocating for child care and protection;

  • Organizing the Day of the African Child and International Day of the Girl Child;

  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
