Minimum Qualification

  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized University/Institution. He /She should be registered with the relevant professional body.

    Working Experience

  • Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience in workers’ health surveillance programme related field in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.

    Duties

    The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Occupational Physician for performing the following duties:-

  • Organizing, inspecting, giving technical advice and supervising nursing in workplaces;

  • Planning and conducting health education, maternal and child health and family planning programmes for workers and their dependants;

  • Planning for rehabilitation of injured or diseased workers;

  • Investigating and advising on nutrition of workers and their dependants;

  • Assisting in various medical examinations and in first aid training;

  • Researching on occupational health nursing for stakeholders and in higher institutions of learning;

  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
