Reports to: Procurement and Contracts Manager

Duty Station: Kampala/ Entebbe

Contract Duration: Two-year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance against agreed targets and deliverables

Scope of Work

Assist in timely acquisition of goods, works and services.

Main duties and Responsibilities

Ensure timely preparation and submission of the procurement plans for review and approval by the Procurement Specialist

In consultation with users, prepare bidding documents for acquisition of goods, services and works

Maintain and develop an appropriate records management system for procurement data

Post bidding opportunities and procurement notices on the entity’s website and notice boards

Ensure that procurement procedures as prescribed under the regulatory frameworks(PPDA and Donor) are followed

Assist the bidding and selection processing, including pre-bid or pre proposal meetings, providing clarifications, receipt of bids/ proposals, leading and assisting in the opening of bids/ proposals/ expressions of interest

Assist in evaluation of expression of interest, quotations, bids and proposals.

Assist in preparation of submissions to the Contracts Committee.

Any other duties that may be assigned by superiors from time to time in the furtherance of the above responsibilities.

Minimum Academic Qualifications

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in

Procurement or Supply Chain Management or Procurement and Logistics Management or related field

Working Experience

At least 4 years of relevant work experience in in the field of procurement and contracts management Competencies:

Excellent knowledge of computer applications including programming, Microsoft Excel and Access

Proven integrity

Good communication skills (written and spoken), good writing skills in English.
