Minimum Qualification Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology and Botany with an option in Entomology from a recognized University/ Institution
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Entomologist, Sericulture for performing the following duties:-
Creating awareness of Sericulture programmes at all levels;
Providing technical assistance in mulberry plantation/cultivation and silkworm rearing for cocoon production;
Ensuring capacity building in Sericulture for extension agents and other stakeholders;
Conducting surveys for pests and diseases in Sericulture and implementing control measures;
Participating in quality assurance and auditing of Sericulture enterprises;
Monitoring adherence to standards and regulations on Sericulture development;
Conducting research and Sericulture technology development;
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
