Mini Group Forklift Operator Jobs in Kenya; Operate forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stack avocados across production and ripening areas. Ensure safe handling, monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with the Ripening Chamber Supervisor and team members to maintain production efficiency and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Forklift Operations

  • Operate forklifts safely to transport avocados within ripening and production areas.

  • Load and unload avocados from trucks and logistics systems.

  • Arrange bins according to GRN sequencing for traceability.

  • Handle avocados carefully to prevent damage and maintain quality.

    Maintenance & Safety
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.

  • Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, and maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and food handling standards.

    Coordination & Reporting
  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Maintain documentation accuracy in daily logs.

  • Support productivity targets, including safe handling of 150 bins per shift.

    Key Outputs & KPIs
  • Operational efficiency: timely loading/unloading per shift.

  • Safety compliance: zero incidents, inspections completed.

  • Fuel efficiency: monitored usage relative to tasks.

  • Damage rate: minimized product damages.

  • Quality control: high percentage of correctly handled avocados.

  • Documentation accuracy: complete and correct daily logs.

  • Maintenance & upkeep: reliable forklifts, minimal downtime.

  • Productivity: efficient stacking and pallet
    handling.

    Requirements for Appointment

    Education & Certification
  • Certificate in Forklift Operations and valid driving license.

  • Occupational Trade Tests III/II/I for forklift operators.

  • First‑Aid Certificate (minimum one week).

    Experience
  • At least 3 years operating forklifts in food processing or manufacturing.

  • Experience with electronic forklifts or similar machinery is an advantage.

    Skills & Competencies
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex forklifts.

  • Attention to detail in inspections, maintenance, and quality control.

  • Ability to follow SOPs and instructions.

  • Computer literacy for record‑keeping and reporting.

  • Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

  • Commitment to safety and collaboration.
