Mini Group Boiler Operator Jobs in Kenya




Mini Group Boiler Operator Jobs in Kenya; Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Boiler Operator will operate and monitor boiler systems, perform routine maintenance, respond to boiler‑related emergencies, and maintain accurate operational and maintenance records. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities

Boiler Operations

  • Operate boilers to generate steam and hot water for processing equipment.

  • Perform startup and shutdown procedures safely in accordance with SOPs.

  • Monitor fuel, water treatment, and energy efficiency.

    Maintenance & Repairs
  • Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of boiler equipment.

  • Assist in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs as required.

  • Respond promptly to malfunctions, leaks, or pressure fluctuations.

    Safety & Compliance
  • Support safety compliance and report potential hazards immediately.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

    Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, fuel consumption, maintenance, and safety checks.

    Collaboration
  • Assist skilled technicians (electricians, plumbers, HVAC) as needed.

  • Work effectively with production teams to support operational goals.

    Requirements for Appointment

    Education
  • Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related
    technical field.

    Experience
  • Minimum 3 years in boiler maintenance or HVAC operations, preferably in food processing or manufacturing.

  • Valid Boiler Operator License or certification required.

  • Experience with high‑pressure steam boilers preferred.

    Skills & Competencies
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of boiler operations.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.

  • Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Safety‑conscious with strong adherence to compliance.

  • Physical stamina to operate and maintain boiler equipment.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support production operations.
