General Description of Position

  • The program support team has domains of activities to ensure the accountability and visibility of the Feteh Activity.

  • It includes the collection of data and generation of evidence for tracking project accomplishment as well as ensuring the visibility of project activities through the use of communication tools/materials and organization of events.

  • As part of this team, the Program Support Intern will be responsible for assisting the Feteh Program Support Team, in both Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and the Communications and Public Outreach activities.

    Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

  • The Intern will undertake work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for Millennium DPI in support of the Feteh (Justice) Activity pursuant to Millennium DPI’s contract with the USAID.

  • Under the direct supervision of the Civil Society and Program Support Team Leader and collaborating jointly with the MEL Coordinator and the Communications and Public Outreach Coordinator, the Intern shall assume the following specific responsibilities for the length of his/her Internship with Millennium

    Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL)

  • Assist the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team with assigned tasks related to MEL such as data collection and data entry in collaboration with the MEL Coordinator;

  • Preparation/availing of training/meeting attendance sheets and forms for
    data collection;

  • Tracking supervision schedule and support in preparation and documentation of supervision activities;

  • Supporting technical team to ensure awareness and implementation of the approved MEL Plan and data collection tools;

  • Drafting and updating data visualization to use in communication materials;

  • Other MEL tasks as requested.

    Communication and Public Outreach

  • Support the communication and public outreach team with assigned tasks such as social media post design, drafting, and follow up;

  • Track social media posts in line with partner’s media and other engagements/deliverables to ensure consistency;

  • Summarize radio and television media partner deliverables as required;

  • Assist with organizing and coordinating meetings, workshops, conferences, and preparing coverage reports;

  • Support the Program Support Team in documenting Feteh and/or Feteh’s partners’ events, with visual and/or audio documentation.

  • Assist with developing communication-related material.

  • Other communication and public outreach tasks as requested.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Civil Society and Program Support Team Leader.

    Job Requirements

  • Social Science, Communication or relevant master’s degree.

  • Excellent organization, professionalism, integrity, trustworthiness, and flexibility.

  • Demonstrated fluency in Amharic and English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Highly skilled with relevant technology – MS products, Google Suite, social media platforms, graphic design tools.

  • Preferred: Graphic design experience, professional social media experience, familiarity with photography
