Job Summary:

The position holder will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students of the Environmental Health Sciences to fully develop skills and fulfill their academic potential.

The job holder will work as part of the team to ensure that the curriculum, as set by the Ministry of Education and Sports, is delivered at the set standards and that examination are conducted in line with the Uganda Allied Health Professionals Examinations body guidelines and procedures.

The expected result is well natured students that demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and academic excellence.

Qualifications

Education and Aptitude:

A Bachelors degree in Environmental Health Sciences.

Plus a post graduate diploma in Medical Education or Diploma in Education or Degree in Education.

Registered with the allied health professionals’ council with a current Annual Practicing Licence.

A Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Sciences or Public Health will be an added advantage

Required experience and knowledge:

Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Tutor in Recognized Institution of Higher Learning or 3 years’ experience in a busy Public Health setting.

Experience/knowledge relevant MOH/MOES guidelines and policies.

Ability to network and liaise with various partners
