Micro Finance Loan Officer Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya

Our client is a fast-growing non deposit taking micro-finance Company based in Nairobi with other Branches outside Nairobi and specialized in Group Lending with a number of Ten -Twenty-Five members per group.

They are seeking to hire a suitable and qualified individual to fill the position of a Loan Officer.

Duties and key responsibilities:

Develop new business opportunities by proactively marketing for individual loan products to suitable potential clients.

Interview, visit analyze and evaluate borrowers and potential borrowers with emphasis on risks and particular focus on credit risks.

Prepare and make appropriate credit recommendations to the branch credit committee.

Work closely with the entire branch staff to maintain a high degree of customer service levels and focus.

Proactive loan portfolio monitoring and management.

Prepare performance reports, work plans and activity reports.

Participate on setting up personal productivity targets and work towards achieving them.

Qualifications

A college Diploma or University Degree preferably in business related discipline from a recognized institution.

At least 2 years demonstrable experience in individual lending from a commercial bank.

Certificate of good conduct.

Computer literate and proficient.

Desired Competencies and personal attributes

Ability to work with numbers, conduct analysis of accounting information.

Ability to willingly follow-up clients personally and with a keen eye on financial data.

Ability to make sound judgement and quick right decisions.

Ability to build trust, Value others, communicate effectively and drive execution.

Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, tact and maturity.
