Meru County Public Service Board Deputy Director Special Programs and Social Welfare Jobs in Kenya; The Deputy Director Special Programs and Social Welfare will provide safe, reliable, and efficient support in managing highly complex development activities across diverse socio‑economic and political backgrounds. Reporting to the Director Special Programs, the officer will ensure efficient coordination of county government initiatives including development activities, resource mobilization, disaster management, emergency response, peace promotion, conflict resolution, and peace building.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in managing complex development activities across diverse socio‑economic and political backgrounds.

  • Ensure efficient management and coordination of county government development activities.

  • Mobilize resources for development initiatives.

  • Coordinate disaster management and emergency response activities.

  • Promote peace and security within the county.

  • Support conflict resolution and peace building programs.

    Requirements for Appointment
  • Served in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum of five (5) years.

  • University degree in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Business Information Technology, or other relevant qualification from a recognized institution in Kenya.

  • Good knowledge of the development sector and international affairs.

  • Strong project management, research, and analytical skills.
