Meru County Government Gender and social Development Officers Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Meru wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill vacancies in the following departments as per the constitution of Kenya 2010.


Department of Education Culture and Gender Developmnt

Responsibilities

  • Working with communities to identify and
    mobilize local resources for the implementation of gender development projects;
  • Guiding communities develop Community Action Plans (CAPs);
  • Liaising with local communities and
    other development agencies in implementing community development programmes;
  • Identifying self-help groups and community based organizations for registration;
  • Collecting social development related
    data for planning;
  • Guiding communities and self-help groups to
    identify their social economic needs; and
  • Mobilizing communities to implement their
    development projects; and mainstreaming
  • Disability programmes and projects.

    Qualifications

  • Must have KCSE C- and above or its equivalent qualification.
  • Must have a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: -Sociology, Social Work,
    Community Development, Anthropology, and Business Administration/Management , from a recognized institution.

    NB: Women and People living with disability are encouraged to apply and should clearly indicate the type of disability.

    on the fourth floor.

  • Kenya Revenue Authority
  • Higher Education Loans Board
  • Criminal Investigation Department
  • Commission for Higher Education; for those with certificates from Private and foreign universities.
