Meru County Government Deputy Director curriculum development Jobs in Kenya

The County Government of Meru wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill vacancies in the following departments as per the constitution of Kenya 2010.


Department of Education Culture and Gender Developmnt

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum and extra - curriculum programs in ECDE centers.
  • Planning and supervision of ECDE activities
  • Coordinate, production, documentation
    and dissemination of relevant information
  • Coordinating field officers in curriculum
    implementation
  • Capacity building for ECDE teachers by conducting regular programs.
  • Developing proposals for resource mobilization and developing of annual work plans.
  • Coordinating development and integration of
    ICT in ECDE centers.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from
    time to time by the director.

    Qualifications

  • Must have KCSE C+ and above or its equivalent qualification.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in education in BEd/BSc
    (education)
  • Must have a Master’s degree in curriculum development. Must have over 5 years in a senior administrative position.
  • Should have demonstrated organizational ability in an educational institution and
    be an all-round education leader familiar with the national education system;
  • Be conversant with legal provisions in education, knowledge of curricular
    development and implementation, knowledge of current trends, policies and developments in the education sector;
  • Must have proven ability in improving and maintaining high teaching and learning standards in educational institutions;
  • Must have a Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution OR attended senior management course from Kenya school of government
