Mercy Corps Strategic Pricing Advisor Jobs in Kenya;Partner with Business Development, Regional Finance, Program, and Country teams to support proposal design and budget development. Build organizational capacity in cost proposal development and pricing practices, ensuring compliant, competitive, and value‑for‑money proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Pricing & Budget Development

Support development of pricing strategies for funding opportunities.

Contribute to compliant and competitive cost proposals.

Review budget assumptions, scenarios, and supporting documents for accuracy.

Proposal Development & Business Development Partnership

Serve as finance partner throughout proposal development.

Assess financial feasibility and commercial pricing options.

Support partnerships and consortium budget development.

Collaborate with technical and operational teams to translate program designs into budgets.

Contribute to internal budget reviews and pre‑positioning efforts.

Financial Analysis & Risk Assessment

Conduct financial analysis to support pricing decisions.

Assess financial and commercial risks of funding opportunities.

Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.

Maintain pricing benchmarks and analyze sector trends.

Country Support & Capacity Building

Provide guidance to Country and Regional teams on budgeting and pricing.

Deliver training on proposal budgeting and pricing best practices.

Contribute to development of budgeting tools and training materials.

Promote consistent application of pricing standards across the organisation.

Accountability

Reports To: Strategic Pricing Senior Manager

Works Closely With: Business Development, Regional/Country Finance, Program, International Finance & Compliance teams.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.

Experience

2–4 years’ experience in budgeting, proposal finance, or pricing.

Experience within INGO or complex operating environment preferred.

Understanding of donor funding mechanisms and competitive proposal processes.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
