Summary

  • Our Client based in Midrand is recruiting for a Senior PTC Windchills Developer / Architect.

    Description

  • Architecture and Interface Design.

  • Experience in Test Driven Development and automated end-to-end testing Cucumber or similar technologies.

  • Strong foundational knowledge in Object
    Oriented Development practices.

  • Experience in application design and architecture.

  • Data modeling, Database technologies and Scripting (relational, document).

  • Implementation of Backend Services.

  • Experience CI/CD Tools.

    Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years experience

    The following skills are key to fulfil the role:

  • PTC Windchill

  • Continuous Integration & Deployment
    Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift)

  • Scaleability

  • Public Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure),

  • DevOps Experience and Practices.

    The following skills will be advantageous

  • Sound knowledge in Java

  • Understanding of SAP Platform

  • Familiarity with Microservices and Cloud Architectures.

  • Experience with Container Orchestration

  • Platforms preferably OpenShift or Kubernetes.

    Basic Knowledge of:

  • Restful Services, Kafka.

    Proficiency in UI frameworks:

  • Angular 6+ or React JS.

  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented work behaviour in a distributed team.

  • Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools (e.g. GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Concourse, Jenkins)

  • Fit for business purpose mind-set, i.e. the solutions provided must meet the business goals.

    Added advantage

  • Experience with testing tools like Karma, Jasmine, Postman, Newman, Cypress, Selenium, Junit, Robot, Jest

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Knowledge of Glassfish/Payara

  • Cloud Certifications
