Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Kenya

Our client who is in printing and packaging supplying to flower farms in Kenya is recruiting a mechanical engineer/ manager whose core role is to ensure machines and equipment's runs smoothly and reliably by checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, and lead the team to deliver effectively.
  • Create and implement best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
  • Schedule both internal and external work(s] maximising planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime.
  • Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues, contractors, consultants;

    Requirenments

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of mechanical engineering.
  • 6years and above of experience in manufacturing, experience in printing and packaging is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with static and/or rotating equipment, and attended major overhauls for manufacturing facilities.
