Job Details:

McDermott, a premier, fully-integrated provider of technology, engineering and construction solutions to the energy industry is looking for Construction and Project support personnel. Successful candidates must have relevant experience and recognized expertise in large international onshore/offshore oil and gas projects.

The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors. Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English.

In support of our commitment to the development of the local community, Ugandan national applicants will be given priority. The deadline for applications is January 05 2022.

Overview

• Supervise and lead inspectors for Civil, Structural and Architectural Quality Control activities to determine conformity to client and in line with McDermott procedures and ensure and that all jobs are carried out as per the Company's operating standards.

• Identify non-conformities and take appropriate action to control / prevent any occurrence as per the Company's operating standards.

• Perform Quality audits as applicable to verify compliance with project specifications and procedures. Interface with Construction, Field Engineering, Subcontractors, Certifying Authority and Client as required. Manage Civil, Structural and Architectural QC resources, planning and execution of

related Civil QC activities.

• Successful candidates must have at least 10 years of relevant experience and recognized expertise in large international onshore/offshore oil and gas projects with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.

Required Degree and Qualifications:

• College/university graduate and/or higher education

• Minimum 10+ years' experience in Civil Engineering/

• Construction and QA/QC function/inspections.

• Knowledge of site quality control surveillance schemes.

• Familiarity with construction standards and code of practices

• Experience in coordination of third party authorities and associated regulatory requirements.

• Preferred audit experience to ISO9001:2015 and/or construction inspection qualifications.

• Proficient computer skills - MS Office Suite.
