The Mater Misericordiae Hospital, a leading Health Care provider, is seeking to fill the above position in the Maintenance and Projects Department.
Position Summary:
To ensure the Hospital Air Conditioner and Fridges/Cooling systems are well maintained, and in serviceable condition.
Main Duties:
Carry out planned preventive maintenance on all hospital air conditioners and fridges/cooling systems to ensure they are in serviceable condition
Undertake basic repairs of all Air Conditioners and Fridges defects reported daily and during inspection such as UPS, & theatre air conditioners
Carry out periodic checks and inspections of all hospital Air Conditioners and Fridges and Generator to establish all repairs and maintenance required.
Recommend materials and supplies for requisition within the workshop stores necessary for efficient delivery of services.
Ensure tidiness and safety of workstations and sites within the hospital.
Checking availability of medical gases within hospital & replacing them as necessary
Installing, troubleshooting and overhauling entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Measuring refrigeration or air conditioning components for installation
Working with hand and power tools to install refrigeration or air conditioning components
Measuring and cutting piping, and connecting piping using welding equipment
Testing heating, ventilation, air conditioning
and refrigeration systems for leaks
Performing routine maintenance
Repairing and replacing components for entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Preparing work estimates
Reading and interpreting blueprints
Required Qualifications for the Position
Diploma in Refrigeration and air conditioning
2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
Technical Understanding of Refrigeration/Air conditioners systems.
Computer literate
